Our Responsibilities

  • To increase road coverage and improve connectivity, enhance County Public Works services and efficiently manage transport services within the County.
  • To promote effective and efficient use of County machinery and motor vehicles.
  • To mainstream cross cutting and policy issues as per the set guidelines.
  • To enhance customer service and improve corporate image.
  • To implement programmes aimed at supporting the Boda Boda Sector.

Culture

Progress has been made in the completion of the gallery 1, II, III at Lower Eastern Heritage Centre at Tseikuru.

Culture

 The socio-economic empowerment initiatives for women and community groups achieved 494 out of 534 groups target.

Culture

Youth skills program trained 60% of target due to limited funding, averaging 48 youths per ward .

Overall, the county has made progress in some areas, while others are still below the set targets due to various challenges, including inadequate funding, Covid 19 effects, and delayed disbursement of funds.

Our Minister

Ms. Mutemi is a highly experienced professional with a diverse skillset spanning administration, accounting, education, and research. Holding an MBA in finance and a Bachelor’s in education, she has actively pursued further development through accounting certifications and specialized training programs like SMASE. This dedication to continuous learning reflects her commitment to excellence and staying at the forefront of her fields.

Ms. Mutemi’s professional journey showcases her adaptability and impact across various sectors. From shaping young minds as a teacher to managing finances and operations as an accountant, she has consistently demonstrated expertise and leadership. Notably, her role as a KCSE Mathematics Paper 2 Examiner with the Kenya National Examinations Council underscores her deep subject matter knowledge and commitment to educational standards. Ms. Mutemi’s diverse experiences and proven contributions make her a valuable asset to any organization.
