Our Responsibilities
- Promote a safe and healthy environment in Mwingi Town.
- Promote and undertake infrastructural development and services within the town.
- Monitor the impact and effectiveness of any services, policies and programs or plans.
- Strengthen the economic competitiveness of Mwingi Town.
Achievements
Road Improvements
Exceeded target by constructing an additional 4.8 kilometers of bitumen roads with support from Kenya Roads Board.
Public Sanitation
Built three public toilets exceeding the target due to public demand. Improved sanitation and security at the slaughterhouse through repairs and installations.
Drainage
Increased the length of constructed drainage channels by 0.8 kilometers.
Security
Enhanced nighttime security by installing additional street lights along a 0.6-kilometer stretch.
