Kitui County Empowerment Fund established through the Public Finance Management Act, 2012 (Kitui County Empowerment Fund) Regulations, 2021, has been in operation since March 2021. The Fund is managed by a Board of Management composed of members as defined in the Fund Regulations. (Regulations 10)
Pursuant to the above Regulations, the CECM, Trade, Industry, MSMEs, Innovation and Co-operatives invites applications from qualified persons to be considered for positions below:
(i) A person with expertise in business development or financial management
(ii) A person of female gender who holds a leadership position in the community.
Qualifications of Board members
A person shall be eligible for appointment as a member of the Board if that person;—
(a) Be a Kenyan Citizen
(b) Possesses a university degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(c) Has knowledge and experience of at least five years in relevant fields including enterprise development, capital fund management, financial management, gender and development, youth and development and policy formulation; ( knowledge and experience in micro finance or banking is an added advantage)
(d) Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity; and
(e) Is not a public officer.

The applications should reach the office of the CECM, Trade, Industry, MSMEs, Innovation and Co-operatives in Kitui Town, not later than 12.00 noon E.A.T on Monday, 27th December, 2024.
